Whereas, Community College budgets are underfunded, and resources are overstretched;

Whereas, Federal and State laws require community colleges to operate all programs and activities in a manner which is accessible to qualified individuals with disabilities. and; (29 U.S.C. § 794, 20 U.S.C. § 1405, 42 U.S.C. § 12101, Gov. Code § 11135.); and

Whereas, Associated Students are required under the Brown Act to hold meetings at an accessible location;

Resolved, that the Student Senate for California Community Colleges work with the Chancellor's office, and the Regions to create a program that advocates, consults and incentivizes ADA Compliance.
