Whereas, California leads the nation in green technology development and many
people in these new "green collar" jobs are receiving their training at California
Community Colleges in solar panel installation and other such programs;
Whereas, renewable energy is better for our air and our environment; and
Whereas, renewable energy is becoming more affordable each year;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges urge the
student senates to encourage the use of renewable energy on their campuses;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges urge the
student senates to encourage the use of renewable energy on their campuses;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges hold
events that promote renewable energy solutions in conjunction with the clubs on
their campuses.

programs at our trade schools and community colleges to promote green jobs and
clean energy.
