Whereas, the SSCCC structure was chosen at a convention which occurred before 2006;

Whereas, the SSCCC has embarked on a radical restructuring and movement toward professionalism under the guidance of the Strategic Plan adopted by the General Assembly;

Whereas, the SSCCC General Assembly referred the Proposed SSCCC Constitution to the Council, and the Rules Committee has pursued solicitation of models for the Constitution in order to maximize the transparency and inclusivity of the Constitution revision process, but the only submission for a model for the Constitution of the SSCCC was entered by the Chair of the Rules Committee;

Resolved, that the Student Senate for California Community Colleges disseminate a notice for any interested parties to submit a model or models for the SSCCC Constitution, with a submission period that lasts at least two (2) months;

Resolved, that the Student Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Student Senate Council to hold at least one public forum to review the Proposed SSCCC Constitution; and

Resolved, that the Student Senate for California Community Colleges disseminate a poll which includes all potential SSCCC Constitution models approved by the Rules Committee through the listserv on the conclusion of the aforementioned submission period, and pursue drafting governing documents which reflect the model of the Constitution supported by the largest plurality of legitimate ASO Delegates; and

Resolved, that the Student Senate for California Community Colleges direct the Student Senate Council to submit a completed Proposed SSCCC Constitution for adoption at the Spring General Assembly.
