Whereas, Environmental and monetary gain is being lost due to poor informational resources on recycling and lack of utilizing such recycling opportunities for electronic waste, such as old monitors, cell phones, towers, etc.; and
Whereas, Many people are not aware of, nor practice proper recycling and electronic disposal and therefore demand a need of easier and more efficient ways of waste processing;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges ask each campus to place in their student newspapers recycling information for their area and otherwise advertise all recycling opportunities; and
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges encourage local senates to implement a district-wide recycling day for campuses to raise awareness and educate the public on E-waste issues and collect recyclable waste to provide an opportunity for proper disposal.
