Whereas, The Student Senate of the California Community Colleges represents all associated student organizations on a statewide basis;
Whereas, The Student Senate of the California Community Colleges can provide the platform to showcase the advocacy, work and accomplishments of associated student organizations around the state;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for the California Community Colleges establish a forum and include in its General Assembly Program recognition awards to showcase effective community and student advocacy from the one-hundred and thirteen California Community Colleges associated student governments; and,
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges encourage local associated student organizations to submit PowerPoint presentations on their projects and/or community involvement projects and at the spring general assembly, each associated student organization that submits a PowerPoint presentation by the specific deadline will be recognized by the assembly. These recognitions will help highlight and promote the various advocacy and community outreach that is student government.
