Committee:
Relations with Local Senates, Educational Policies
Whereas, Students within the California Community College system have attendance and participation guidelines that are communicated at the first class session, and included in class syllabi;

Whereas, Throughout the California Community College system students are advised about the three absence class termination policy;

Whereas, On occasion students responsibly arrive for class, only to find their faculty absent or late-arriving; and

Whereas, There is no apparent standardized student waiting policy and the California Community College system needs some sort of defined policy,
procedure(s), or guidelines indicating an established time that students are required to wait for teachers arrival;

Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges encourage local associated student governments to work with academic senates in implementing a fifteen minute student waiting time policy, procedure or guideline which would be enforced throughout the California Community College system to advise California Community College system students about their rights concerning waiting for late (or absent) arriving faculty.
