Whereas, The functional clarity of the SSCCC Constitution ensures consistent representation and an image of professionalism; and
Whereas, The process by which amendments to the SSCCC Bylaws are made contains extraneous wording that impedes the ability of the council to act on constituent mandates and requests in a timely manner;
Resolved, That the Student Senate for California Community Colleges amend Article VIII, Section 3 of the Constitution to read: “Bylaws may be adopted or amended by a 2/3 vote of the Student Senate Council after two readings of the proposal. The proposal shall be read for the second time not less than two regularly scheduled meetings after the first reading.”
